Supreme Court

Why is everyone up in arms about Obama's Supreme Court nominee? Obama nominated someone just like him...a racist, marxist and a "great story". This should have been expected. Seriously.
On a related note, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that even though everybody is saying she's going to get easily confirmed, I'll say she'll run into some serious trouble. We'll see how accurate I am on this.

Can I say...

I am PROUD of Dick Cheney. He's become more of a hero than I ever thought he could be. I've always thought he was a good guy, as much as he was vilified but the dude is not only gutsy but confident. Between him and his daughter Liz, I think they can take on the world. Al Qeada and all. He simply destroyed Obama and his policies, smacked him over the head and try to inject him with some sense. It's so relieving to see somebody do this with boldness. We got whimpy people on the right that are not gutsy enough to call Obama's bluff but no, not Richard Cheney. And for that he gets major accolades. I wish we could clone him and make him a younger so he can take over the [weak]publican party. I hope he keeps it up, as well as his daughter. Obama is simply not used to people challenging him. He's like a little kid that has always got what he wanted and never had to be responsible for his decisions. In contrast, Cheney has definitely been responsible for his actions and so far it looks like it worked out pretty well.

So here's to more of Dick Cheney! Cheers!

Guessing game

I just had a quick thought, as of today, a ticket I wouldn't mind seeing would be a Palin/Ryan ticket. I like the guy man. He's a smart, economy oriented kid. He knows his stuff especially with policy. I wouldn't mind supporting that.

On a side note, did I mention I really like Liz Cheney?

Genius President

So the brilliant President comes up with another brilliant idea: kick the auto industry while their on the ground. Oh well, they'll never recover (at least Chrysler and GM for sure). It seems that this guy doesn't have any other instincts but to destroy everything that has made America great. He blabs about how we've been destroying the planet. Yeah, ok. I say put your money where your mouth is. Get rid of all your SUVs, Airforce One, and gas guzzling limo and then lecture us, Professor Obama. Whatis up with this control hunger that these fools have? If I want to drive a SUV, let me drive my SUV. If you wanna drive a silly looking smart car, good for you. If it makes you happy...driving my kind of car sure as heck makes me happy. Now if I run into your idiotic behind on the freeway, don't whine about anything. You chose to drive that wheelchair looking car around. What is the big deal. This idiotic plan is going to be a disaster. Not to add that it's not going to work. America will only be worse off because of this. How about we drill for oil in america, open nuclear factories and develop clean coal. These are proven solutions for energy, instead of killing every kind of business that has made this country great. "Green cars and smart cars" are just not "in" and they never will be. Sorry to have to break it to you.

24 season finale recap

Last night's show was pretty awesome, I think. Some parts I kind of figured would happen, e.g. Kim Bauer, saving her father (if not, the shows over). The part of her stabbing the woman and then running after the dude was spectacular. What's her real name? She reminds me of a much better looking meghan mccain. I found the politically correct muslim cleric visiting him very interesting...no big deal, just pretty random. Word on the street is Garafolo isn't going to be back next season...I won't lose any sleep over her. Tony Almaeda was a big star. I figured he was doing it for some bigger reason but I couldn't figure it out. I thought maybe someone had blackmailed him. Anyway, great show great season...look forward to next season.

Friday!

Happy Friday but before I cut loose for the day I have to say:

it's been fun watching San Fran Nan---Nancy Pelosi just fall apart as she lies her way around washington. The exact reason politicians need term limits...power and corruption. But I digress, I have my popcorn. Do you?

"The Three Letter Word"- J-O-B-S

Is it just me or what? "Create or save 2million jobs is the most nonsensical thing I've ever heard. I'm wondering why nobody has never asked that. The fools in the media just repeat what the administration says without questioning it. If we lost 30million jobs but at least 5million ppl are still working you can save we saved 2million jobs. I know they're a lot of other smarter people than myself but I'm speechless as in how nobody is picking up how idiotic this is.

Save or create my. . .

Random Thoughts

  • Last night, I, for some reason, wondered: what ever happened to my good friend Blago? Last thing I heard he was supposed to get indicted but where's he now? He made for good comedy. But in all sense, why is he not in court yet and why is he not spilling the beans yet?
  • I have some new heroes. I appreciate Dick Cheney a lot more than I ever thought I would. He's an honest man and you can't say he doesn't speak how he feels. But aside from that, his daughter is even a bigger talent. She took on 5 stoogies on MSNBC yesterday. She's definitely my new hero(ine). Beautiful, smart and can argue.
  • Thank God for ms. california. Despite all the attacks on her and her family she was strong and did not back down. The Donald also did the right thing. More power to him, he's a smart guy (at times).

Weekend Roundup

The weekend was pretty good, too quick and too short. Yes, even though this was my friday off. I went to a lecture by Robert Murphy of the Mises Institute friday. It was very informative, even though a lot of what he said I knew from Amity Shlaes book, "The Forgotten Man". The best part of the lecture was hearing that business leaders were almost excited when FDR died because they feared he was going to declare himself Dictator. LOL...reminds me of another "charismatic" president. Except this time he might not just "rule" in America but as a "citizen of the world", rule the world. Wouldn't that be just dandy. He hasn't done enough damage to the US so he wants to screw the rest of the world over. Great Idea! Had a good mother's day with the mother. I was left with a pretty fat lunch tab. Mother's day comes once a year, I guess.

It's a shame that Wanda Sykes and the rest of the left succumb to acts like these. That's all i can say about this.

Brett Favre

I used to be a huge Brett Favre fan. I mean he was my favorite football players for years. Since he started playing this retirement game, he's just pissed me off. The last two years of this dude has made me peeved. He played that game with Green Bay then NY Jets played along and now Minnesota wants to dance. How about Brett Favre go sit at home and stop being so selfish. It's time to move on old man or you'll just tarnish whatever legacy you had.

Crush on You...

Yesterday, I figured out who I have a pretty big crush on:

Erin Burnett

Oh Lord

So apparently Liberty University has taken off a Miss California video off their website. That's not such a big deal to me, I can understand that. What I don't understand is this.

What's up with Christians so quick to condemn. Whoever wrote this blog post, I hope they're perfect and have never sinned. I guess they want to stand and be known as "the spiritual one". I guess. I believe Jesus told the woman that was caught in adultery to 'go and sin no more'. He didn't pounce on her and join her accusers in their bashing and almost stoning of her. I'm happy most of us on the right and most Christians that I've seen around are support her but comments like this are disheartning and not very Christ-like.

Also, just as fast as she was embraced and used by many of these groups,
she risks now being dropped due to the appearance of these shameful photos,
both
those from the past and those she defends in her “Christian”
modeling
. Welcome to the evangelical celebrity circuit where souls and
hearts don’t matter as much
as an effective PR blitz for the “cause.” People
are expendable.

It's a shame. I hope and pray we see more love and mercy from people on 'our side' than condemnation.

Turbo-Tax Timmy

Heh! Can't help but giggle when I see Turbo-tax cheat Timothy Geithner talk about how he's going to crack down on "loop-holes''. LOL It's simply hilarious! I guess he knows the in's and out's of avoiding paying some taxes. So what if you try to pay the least amount of taxes. I'm not proposing cheating, I'm just saying if the code allows you to pay less then why the heck would you pay more? Only a idiot would. We do have a few idiots running around.
Also, I think this is all a sham and if it's not a sham, it's not going to work. It'll have some adverse effect. People will set up shop elsewhere and pay lower taxes there. Silly.

Rockets!

Wow. Check out the Rockets v Lakers game last night? Wow, what a shocker! I thought we would have a pretty good chance to put up a fight but I think the Rockets left the Lakers kind of clueless last night. Maybe we might be able to pull this off. Big ups to Yao for fighting through the pain, he's making himself to be a serious star now.

By the way, I have always thought the Rockets were better off without T-mac. He's more of a burden than an asset.

AAR

Got a chance to check out All American Rejects last night downtown. Very good concert. They gave a pretty good show except for one thing: it just ended. Like one second everybody's going crazy to "Give you Hell" and then the band is off stage. No thank you Houston, thanks for having us. Nothing. They just cleared the stage. Very interesting. I guess when you make it that big you just don't give a rat but I think I would love to keep my fans and would love for them to come back next time I come to town.

SImple Proposal

I'm on my way out for the day from work, but I just thought about this proposal. I'm not for open-borders, I'm actually very opposed to it. However I don't think it's practical to think you can round up 14million people to be deported. So a simple proposal, a path to citizenship. A very long path. $10,000 for individual/$20k for familes for guest worker program, five years later if in good behavior with the laws of the land and contributing (going to school or working) then permanent residency. And then if that continues five years later, citizenship. Any violation, you're out (including those that refuse to be legal). Fair? I think so. You generate some income to the American economy and take care of the illegal immigration. Two birds with one stone. By the way, you close the borders now.

Speaking of Krauthammer...

...he goofed on Biden pretty good last night:

I think the single most important public health measure that we can take is to
put Joe Biden in quarantine. The prognosis, unfortunately for him, is not good.
There's no known cure for what ails him, which is a congenital inability to
control his tongue. But the good news is that that researchers around the
world are working around the clock on a cure. So they always is hope.

Haaha!! Happy Friday!

Still on the whole "tortue" thing

Charles Krauthammer who I think is the smartest dude on the planet worte a really good case on this interrogation fiasco:

Private principles are fine, but you don't entrust such a person with the
military decisions upon which hinges the safety of the nation. It is similarly
imprudent to have a person who would abjure torture in all circumstances making
national security decisions upon which depends the protection of 300 million
countrymen.

He seems to make everything sound so pin-pointed, straight talk
