It's been about five days and i guess i've settled back from camp. I've had time to think and rethink the days there and nothing has changed. It was definitely an amazing time. It was indeed an experience of a lifetime, volunteering and working with the kids and the good folks that spend their summer working this camp. Honestly, i didn't know what to expect; especially regarding the possible limitations of the kids and exactly how much 'fun' it would be. But my expectations were WOWed. The only bummer i had was that my kid wasn't able to attend, he got a fever couple of days before. Then they tried to fit me in with another kid and he didn't show up because he got cold feet. That did make the me feel a bit bummed for first day or so. Although, by half way through the week, i realized there the reason why God "stuck" me in the situation and it was for a much greater reason (which sorry, i can't share on here). Anyway, it was a week i will never forget. I definitely plan on going back next year, God-willing.
I honestly feel like i got more out of it than the kids did, and they had a hella fun. I ended up sharing a kid with another guy (who i happened to ride with to the camp) and that worked out pretty well, i think. I swear i thought he was quiet when i first met him, but nooo. He was up out of his wheelchair doing thriller by Wednesday. That pretty much made my week. He was a fun loving kid, who makes you think he's some mellow camper. Sike! He became a legend by the week's end. He learnt from the best. J/K, maybe not.
Apart from the great campers, the staff and the other volunteers were really good. i honestly think i had a conversation with everybody. I didn't realize I could talk that much. Heh! No really, i had convos about everything from college to wildlife and the environment. The people were great and it's definitely a good feeling to see so many people give up their time to do such demanding work for no [monetary] reward. This gives me hope for the future, i guess the world doesn't all the way suck. lol. I'm sure i'll be posting more about Camp Quality soon and later on as well. But this is just a brief de-brief. I look forward to next year, as well as the other events before then. Word on the street is I may get to meet my camper that wasn't able to come because he lives in the area. That would be awesome. I'm out.

Newfound Respect
Two big ones. Numero Uno: Ruth Bader Ginsburg-conservative and libertarian hero?? I'm not sure yet if the Supreme Court will uphold or smack down the administrations militant bankruptcy or not but at least for her to delay the decision, she deserves big praise. Will she turn out to be the unlikely savior of the constitution and of free people? That's yet to be determined, until then, she will be held high from my end. I think she can vote all the crazy left-wing ways til she dies and I'll have no problem with her.
NUmero dEUx: Stephen Colbert. Haven't really watched him on a consistent basis but what he did for the troops is to be applauded. I don't really care about his politics or honestly anything he does for the rest of the time he's on tv, he has my respect. For him to go all the way to Iraq and do this and call attention to the war that is still going on is a million times greater than what you would expect from anybody in the media today. They're too busy bashing Bush and any conservative in sight and screaming for Cindy Sheehan. This man has got some guts and it's refreshing to see someone in his kind of crowd doing such a great thing for the military.
Kudos to these two!

Can I say...
I am PROUD of Dick Cheney. He's become more of a hero than I ever thought he could be. I've always thought he was a good guy, as much as he was vilified but the dude is not only gutsy but confident. Between him and his daughter Liz, I think they can take on the world. Al Qeada and all. He simply destroyed Obama and his policies, smacked him over the head and try to inject him with some sense. It's so relieving to see somebody do this with boldness. We got whimpy people on the right that are not gutsy enough to call Obama's bluff but no, not Richard Cheney. And for that he gets major accolades. I wish we could clone him and make him a younger so he can take over the [weak]publican party. I hope he keeps it up, as well as his daughter. Obama is simply not used to people challenging him. He's like a little kid that has always got what he wanted and never had to be responsible for his decisions. In contrast, Cheney has definitely been responsible for his actions and so far it looks like it worked out pretty well.
So here's to more of Dick Cheney! Cheers!

Easter
Didn't do it yesterday but i'll do it today. Easter was yesterday. I don't think there is any other occasion more important than Easter. If Christ never died AND resurrected from the grave, how would Christianity necessarily differ from other world religions? Thank God for Jesus and for conquering the grave. We are eternally grateful to God for this and we can never repay him back or try to live "good enough". Because good enough will never be enough. So all we can do is accept the good grace he gave us and live for him. Because if Christ died for us, the least we can do is live for him. That is what I am striving to do. YOU should join me.
P.S. No you're not going to be perfect, we're all human.

At March, Black Pastor Warns Obama not to Preside over "Genocide" of American Blacks
WASHINGTON, DC, January 23, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The most well received speech at the March for Life this year was that of an African American pastor from Frederick Maryland. Pastor Luke Robinson began noting that the election of the first African American President of the United States was a fulfillment of "part" of the "Dream" of Dr. Marin Luther King Jr.Speaking of the inauguration of the "first black President" of the United States, Pastor Robinson explained: "So many African Americans and other folks cried and shouted because the inauguration was part of the deferred dream come true." But, he added, "we come here to deal with some unfinished business as it relates to the 'dream'." Then, using Barack Obama's own rhetoric, Pastor Robinson used the phrase "We need change now more than ever" which would accentuate the rest of his talk. "We are calling on the President of Change, President Barack Obama," he said, "to be an agent of change as it relates to the lives of over one million children who will be slaughtered in this, his first year as President, by a horrible practice called abortion and 'a woman's right to choose'."The most striking portion of Robinson's speech came as he begged Obama not to preside over the genocide of African Americans. "We need change Mr. President because every day about 4000 babies die by abortion. Every day Mr. President, people with your ethnic background any my ethnic background die in astounding numbers. Abortion is the number one killer of African Americans in this country.""We make up about 12% of the population and about 34% of all abortions are black babies. In the last 36 years over 17 million African American babies have died by abortion alone. We need to change this picture. We need to stop this slaughter of the innocent preborn."Please Mr. President, be that agent of change that can commute the sentence of over 1400 African American children and over 3000 children from other ethnic groups sentenced to die every day in this country by abortion.""We need change and we need it now.""I pray with so many others," he said, "that your administration will preside over the end to abortion and to the black genocide in America." "At the conclusion of your term in office, may it never be said that you presided over the largest slaughter of innocent children in the history of the country and that African Americans became an ever increasing minority under your hand."

Sike!
I lied! No Hope N Change, well at least for the innocent unborn. It's funny, not funny actually, how the heck there's hope and change for the jihadi boys and no hope and change for millions of unborn babies (37% of them being African-Americans). Now he wants to spread this hope and change (more like death and despair) to my continent. In essence, let's whipe away these black people! They're making the earth so filthy, they're polluting the air so let's just make less people! That's clearly how Nancy 'the devil's daughter' Pelosi thinks. Ouch, i know that was harsh, that'll be the last time i say that. Sorry. But i got some pretty good links on this, here's one and i'll be posting others:

This will make the Obama & Co think really hard and really mad. But still they won't change their mind!
