Follow-up to Yesterday

It was like pastor joel read my post last night. How crazy? His message was about not allowing your circumstances, dreams and issues overwhelm you. pretty legit stuff. Couple of lines i remember him throwing out there: "you have to put the things that mean the most to you on the altar". "Anything you have to have to be joyful, the enemy will use against you". I mean not that I feel like a need my new gig to make me happy, i don't. Most people wouldn't even guess that i wasn't working as of now. But it was just kinda of one of those things that help whip you into shape. I mean i think i allowed myself to get overwhelmed with the situation. But i'm done with that. "seek ye first...".

Anyway, day went pretty smooth. Church was good, grabbed some grub with some good friends and then hit up the tennis court for about two hours (or more actually). Time went by fast out there. I definitely feel like i'm getting better. My serve is getting a little more feel to it and i was able to get a number of good backhands in. The forehand had great moments, i'm looking forward to working on it some more.
Cowboys lost their playoff game and Saints won theirs. I don't really have a team to root for anymore since my patriots got whacked by Baltimore. Anyway, NFL is for the birds! lol.

On more important front, 24 is back! First show was pretty good. They've got this whole US v Iran kinda thing going. looks to be interesting. I think it'll be better than last season (hopefully) especially since "sweaty" garafollo isn't on this season. Heh!

Long time no see

Wow. I didn't realize how long it's been since i posted last. I've been in and out lately which has been keeping me busy, despite not being at work the last few weeks. I won't guarantee i'm going to get back to being consistent just yet, as I have more traveling to do. It definitely has been fun but I'll post up a few updates.

Random Thoughts

• Last night, I, for some reason, wondered: what ever happened to my good friend Blago? Last thing I heard he was supposed to get indicted but where's he now? He made for good comedy. But in all sense, why is he not in court yet and why is he not spilling the beans yet?
• I have some new heroes. I appreciate Dick Cheney a lot more than I ever thought I would. He's an honest man and you can't say he doesn't speak how he feels. But aside from that, his daughter is even a bigger talent. She took on 5 stoogies on MSNBC yesterday. She's definitely my new hero(ine). Beautiful, smart and can argue.
• Thank God for ms. california. Despite all the attacks on her and her family she was strong and did not back down. The Donald also did the right thing. More power to him, he's a smart guy (at times).

last night, i changed my facebook status to "I'm becoming more and more libertarian by the day". I wasn't sure what response I would get but i wasn't surprised. My libertarian friend seemed pretty pleased and maybe other ppl kind of feel the same way. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to change my socially conservative beliefs but economically, i'm to the point that the government should just get the heck away. As far as possible, please. Thanks.

I really wish...

24 was a movie or a three hour show. One hour is just not enough. I hope this is not the last season becuase i got a feeling Jack might die. He's been exposed to radioactive materials. We'll see. This season has definitely gotten better. Save Tony!

Last week's '24'

I finally got to watch the '24' episode from last week that I TIVO'd and yes, I was not dissapointed! The season is getting better. I was a bit worried at the beginning but the heat has turned up. Tonight looks even better. I have to say the wannabe Chloe chick, I really can't stand. Maybe partly because she's a big Lib but that doesn't usually make me not like actors. I think it's prob she acts entirely too paranoid it's annoying. I was pretty stunned that in the middle of the show "President Taylor" does a commercial about global warming. What is up with this hysteria? Can I watch my show and not be bombarded with bunch of whinning about saving the planet? The planet will save itself...it got here without our help right? "So shut up and Sing" (to steal Ms. Ingraham's title). No seriously, enough already.
