Post Christmas
So it was a pretty good Christmas this year! Got to spend a lot of time with the family and family friends which is always great. I also got to spend extended time with my younger cousins, who kicked it over at the house for a couple of days and even hit the cinema with them, checking out "Bedtime Stories". Interesting movie by the way, which doesn't mean i thought it was great. Adam Sandler's natural comedy kept me awake. Anyhow, it was a great Christmas except that my oldest brother couldn't make it but we were able to chat up through the great technology of the webcam! I recommend it, definitely! Mostly, this Christmas was a very meaningful one to me because I was able to volunteer with a local group, Volunteer Houston, with a friend of mine. It was an amazing morning that got me to recognize some serious realities. It's unfortunate how much we all take for granted...life, health, strength, and family. It was a little depressing to see some of the people in the hospital (both young and old) on Christmas day, laying in the bed, some suffering from in-curable situations. I was blessed to be able to make someone else smile and bring joy to peopel that might not have had some otherwise. I guess the scripture remains true, "it is more blessed to give, than it is to receieve", because the feeling i felt after leaving the hospital was stronger than any feeling i've felt from opening any presents on this Christmas or any other one. This whole event reminded me that we dare not take anything for granted, especially being able to wake up in the morning and know we don't need anybody's assistance to get up and get around. How grateful we must remain in this new year, all the more with the distractions of economic hard times we face in the coming years. Regardless we must remember that the situation we are in is ten times better than that of millions of others...and we're only talking about in the US. Have a Happy and Prosperous New Year!

White House Christmas Message
I gotta say, I never thought I would see this in this age of the ACLUs and those of its sort.

God bless GWB for that. Hate him or love him, he could care less what people think, especially those who think he's one of those oogeey booogey or whatever she[Kathleen Parker] called it!

Christmas Time
I've become pretty infrequent with my posts and i deeply apologize. I will do better in the new year and promise to be a more faithful blogger. I guess that's one of my New Years resolutions, since I never really make any because i've always thought they were pretty darn silly. But anyhow, I would love to wish y'all a Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to all. This is truly one of the greatest times of the year, apart from Easter. We reflect on the love that our Creator has bestowed on us when we did not deserve it, He sent his Son to come to this earth and live as we live in order that he might be able to feel what we feel and experience the same trials, troubles, and victories we face. There's definitely no other Amazing love as this. This Christmas, I encourage everyone to share that love with someone else, not just through gift giving but also through service. I look forward to volunteering Christmas morning, that I may share the love of CHRIST on CHRISTmas day. Be blessed to be a blessing.
HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Changeling
So I finally saw Changeling after over a month of procrastinating and being lazy. It was definitely worth it, even though it was like two and a half hours long. Angelina Jolie continues to be the star that she is. I particularly liked the movie because it was realistic. To be honest, i dislike happy ending movies. Not because i like killings and a whole bunch of villains or any sort of that but because i just don't think happy ending movies are real. Take The Departed, if all the "good" people didn't die, that would have made that movie horrific! In real life, that crap doesn't happen. If you screw with the wrong people, you're pretty much guaranteed to die. Anyhow, whenever i saw that changeling was based on a true story, i figured it would be good. But for those who didn't get a chance to catch the movie, i give it a two thumbs up, especially because of Angelina.
The Return
Wow, so i've been gone for a while. Haven't been on here in a minute but I have just cause. I've been doing work and when I'm not working, i'll just rather hide away from the computer. So I guess in order to give honor where honor is due, based on my very last post, Congratulations to Obama. He won fair and square and honestly THANK GOD! It's going to be a big break for conservatives to be able to defend what they really stand for and not have to defend a president that makes less conservative decisions. But anyhow, congrats to King Barack or King Hussein. I'm not sure which one i'll be calling him yet but one will eventually stick. It's definitely a historic mark in the country, like him or not, it's the first non-white president America has ever had. And for that, it deserves a good ole' round of golf clap. And that's is as much fawning you'll get out of me for this guy. Good luck to the dude and hopefully he won't bring us Socialism(Change) We Can Believe In. I'm out!

Predictions
I wasn't going to make predictions but oh well why not. I have to say though that the scenarios for tonight are not gonna be pretty. It's kind of scary to think of the scenario Obama loses, because his followers are so emotionally involved, i think a loss would be dangerous and disheartning to them. I was talking to a friend of mine last night who was volunteering for Obama campaign and she can't even picture the scenario if The One loses. But what if he does? I honestly think a lot of 'my people' will go nuts! I'm praying that doesn't happen but that's not saying I'm hoping for an Obama win. If Mac somehow pulls this off, it will be another 4years of angry liberals that just can't get a break, even though they got a boost in '06. To be honest i've gotten really sick of whiney liberals for 8yrs. One thing i know about conservatives is we don't put our hope in any politician or govt. In essence, i think we will be alright if we happen to lose. But to hear some chick saying that if obama wins she won't have to worry about buying gas or her mortgage is scary. They have really put their hope in some guy that I know more about than they do, and i'm not supporting him. There's a huge problem there. But enough with the rambling my predictions:
Obama wins popular vote: 48%-45%
McCain wins Electoral college 275-263. He wins Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, Missouri, Indiana and pulls off a sneak in Pennsylvania and Virginia.
I also believe Mac has a chance to win in Nevada, we'll see how that works out.
Yikes! If my predictions do happen, it'll be a dangerous world tomorrow morning! And if i'm wrong and Obama wins, GOD SAVE THE REPUBLIC!

Is America Really About to Elect A Socialist?
It's election eve and i find it hard to believe that America is going to elect a outspoken socialist. Really? It's really difficult to digest that. Am I just not living in reality? I don't think so, because I'm prepared to carry on regardless of who wins. It's not like I have been John McCain's biggest cheerleader. Has the situation in America gotten so bad that ppl are willing to throw their votes to someone who wants to 'spread the wealth'? Someone who nobody seems to know anything about. Someone they just 'hope' will be whatever it is that they may be hoping for. For some it's an end to the war in iraq, for some it's lower gas prices, and then some are silly enough to hope that they won't have to worry about their mortgage payments anymore. What kind of 'hope ' is this? I hate to say it but it takes an idiot to hope that someone, especially the goverment, will fix your problems. I feel kind of sorry for this ppl because it's a lose-lose situation for these folks. If Obama wins, they'll be dissapointed because all their problems will not go away, it will arguably get worse. And if he loses, all hell will break loose! These folks are going to go nutz, because they have all their emotions, their 'hope' in something or someone named 'Change'. Change they seek, change they'll get. They just don't know what 'change' means, some of us are much wiser. It's funny, the people that believe that Barack Obama is going to fix their problems, they should take a look at his Aunt who is living here as an illegal fugitive in a slum in Boston. If he can't take care of his own family-his aunt and step brother (who lives on less than a dollar a month)-then good luck! So much for 'being our brother and sister's keeper'.
